Process and project management

Gate-16 is a consulting company specialised in Audit, Process and Project Management. Our consultants and auditors perform activities of evaluation, re-engineering and reorganisation of processes by exclusively using “state-of-the art” methods and techniques.

Our client target

To take the most of consulting is not the easiest thing: a manager who launches major projects often has to report on the return of these investments. In other words, he is often put in a risky situation. It is well-known that well-documented and even improved processes do not always bring the expected added-value. In many highly specialised enterprises, ivory tower behaviours are surprisingly balanced by the know-how of its employees or by "business as usual" behaviours.

From our long-standing experience, we get convinced that optimised processes bring the most important returns on investment for enterprises which implement very recurrent (repetitive?) processes and which involve big numbers of employees, clients, transactions and assets, to name a few. The more complex the processes are, the bigger the profit making of the project could be. That is the reason why Gate-16 is specialised in services to network operators and in the following main areas:

- energy;
- telecommunications;
- transports;
- banking and insurance.

Our company is based on the constant and strict respect of four fundamental basic values:

Openess: this first principle is twofold. On one hand, it refers to the listening capacity and empathy which are of the utmost importance for a good understanding of our clients’ needs. On the other hand, it refers to a strong sense of honesty and one could even say a strong sense of integrity which obliges us to identify and communicate, at a very early stage, to our client the risks and opportunities for each project, and which refrains us from leading our clients into hazardous pathways even though they are profitable in the short term.

Strictiness: the meaning of the word "to manage" is "to eliminate risks". Every decision or orientation suggested by our consultants must be based on facts and reliable figures. Chance and coincidence are forbidden words in our approach. The same goes for lack of precision and subjective feelings.

Professionnalism: in order to establish facts and figures and then to propose solutions and priorities, our consultants are well-experienced in the best methods and referentials available on the market. When our consultants do business management projects, they are always able to speak foreign languages. They always have university background, are always well-trained and coached. None of our projects takes place without the involvement of an « engagement manager" who is responsible for checking and making our commitments come true.

Creativity: last but not least, without creativity, our working days would be a long series of boring days. In order to meet its clients’ needs, Gate-16 recruits Senior business consultants and Lead auditors.

Senior business consultant

What will you do?
To support our clients in their pathways to change and to guide them to an organisational culture based on processes and which is result-oriented;

To document/analyse the key processes and their sub-processes while using tools and methods which have been given to you;

To help our clients in prioritizing their improvement projects, to lead/participate in these projects and to support the implementation of the optimised processes. For that purpose, you will be asked to manage a team of consultants. You will then show your organisation capacity, pragmatism and rigour. You will also pay a special attention to the transfer of your knowledge at the different stages of your projects;

To put in place follow-up and reporting mechanisms of the processes so that the effective implementation of the optimised processes is guaranteed;

To carefully listen to your clients and to suggest them, with the highest integrity, the most beneficial projects for their companies.

Who are you?

You have an academic background and ideally have a 3 year experience acquired in a consulting company and completed with an experience in a big company;

You have experience in project management and/or process management;

You are fluent in at least two out of the following three languages: French, Dutch, and English.

Lead auditor

What will you do?

To help our clients in establishing an audit charter and methodology which meet their needs;

To define risky areas for our clients and  to put in place audit plans;

To analyse, evaluate and correct procedures and information systems;

To present audit reports and recommendations to audit committees / management boards of the clients;

To do ad-hoc audits;

In the mid-term, to recruit, supervise and set up a team of external auditors.

Who are you?

You have an academic background (Business schools or alike) and have a working experience of minimum 3 years acquired in an audit company and completed (if possible) by some experience of internal auditor in a big company;

You are well-organised and pay great attention to details. You are able to work alone.

You are fluent in at least two out of the following three languages: French, Dutch, and English.
