As a CMDBL Administrator-Remedy you support the planning, architecture, analysis, design implementation, administration, and operations of CMDB/FLAM solutions. As a CMDBL Administrator-Remedy you support the planning, architecture, analysis, design implementation, administration, and operations of CMDB/FLAM solutions. You operate, administrate, and integrate the technologies in the CMDB and web services on CMDB Front-End (FLAM);
You follow the day-to-day activity of the team and organize its activity (requests, changes and incidents);
You manage weekly meetings with Service Delivery Managers;
From a broad selection of monitoring tools, you conceptualize, develop, and implement vendor or custom monitoring solutions to ensure system functions at peak performance;
You identify, analyse, architect, and test enhancements or bug fixes to the current systems management infrastructure to meet changing requirements and increase productivity;
You analyse processes to establish technical guidelines and standards for systems monitoring;
You provide administrative support for configuration and proper operation of monitoring tools used by Operational teams;
You are responsible for incident management, including informing incident manager, system and application owners of none completeness and/or none accuracy, critical error detected by the monitoring solution on regular basis;
You create documentation (how-to, normalisation, installation) and formalise procedures pertaining to the operation of the servers, and applications;
You provide recommendations to other Operational teams;
You insure availability of monitoring & CMDB solution in 24/7 mode (on-call);
You insure that requests and incidents are resolved within agreed KPIs;
You help service owners to translate their business needs into monitoring, CMDB/FLAM solutions;
You deploy in production & administrate Monitoring, CMDB tools on the existing perimeter;
You setup test and validation of new applications (release, patch);
If necessary, you provide training and support to application owners and technical team to enable them to respond to all data and quality standards;
If necessary, you assist Service Owners to develop their internal process to ensure detection of errors.
Competences techniques
You have 6 years’ professional experience as a CMDB Administrator or similar;
You have experience/knowledge in:
BMC CMDB;
BMC ARS Remdy;
Databases (Oracle, MySQL…);
System: Linux/UNIX;
Languages: Shell, Python
Webservices: RESTFul, SOAP;
Ticketing: SMT HP Service Manager;
ITIL certified or relevant;
knowledge of ServiceNow is an asset
