As a DevOps Engineer you are responsible for implementation of infrastructure automation, enabling teams to deliver solutions faster to meet the demands in a DevOps approach. You support the infrastructure DevOps tools in their spaces, must be familiar with enterprise solutions, global demand requirements, and innovative technologies. You also assist project teams with technical issues including the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy, research & development within the project life-cycle, technical analysis and design, and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out solutions.
Mission
As a DevOps Engineer you are responsible for implementation of infrastructure automation, enabling teams to deliver solutions faster to meet the demands in a DevOps approach. You support the infrastructure DevOps tools in their spaces, must be familiar with enterprise solutions, global demand requirements, and innovative technologies. You also assist project teams with technical issues including the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy, research & development within the project life-cycle, technical analysis and design, and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out solutions.
You implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation solutions;
You develop solutions that automate production infrastructure deployment and operations;
You investigate automation opportunities to increase speed and efficiency;
You perform automation, integration, and orchestration services while working within the constraints of vendor products and implemented solutions;
You monitor performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed;
You work on continuous development on automation products, services, protocols, and standards to keep automation best practices;
You develop standards to meet legacy and on-prem cloud design.
Competences techniques
You have at least a Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent through experience;
You have a technical background and minimum 5 years’ relevant experience;
You have experience with:
(networking) automation with ability to provide best practice guidance;
implementation and operation of Ansible and one or more automation and orchestration tools and platforms (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, VMware vRA, etc.);
Yaml, Python;
creating pipelines and automation to deploy containers;
metrics gathering, monitoring, and altering activities;
Red Hat Satelite and/or CFEgine;
You have knowledge in:
IT Operations;
Red Hat Enterprise Linux;
troubleshooting and problem resolution;
ITIL functions and processes.
